Destiny Community Center hosting Backpack Giveaway event for 1,600 families
About the Event
The Destiny Community Center is hosting their 7th annual Backpack Giveaway event at Johnson-Springview Park in Rocklin, California, where over 1,600 kids will leave with a backpack full of school supplies.
A day for the whole family, the event features bounce houses and games, a pop-up boutique where both parents and kids can shop for clothing at no charge, haircuts for the kids, pictures with Disney & Pixar characters, and fresh produce to take home.
Destiny's mission is to empower families -- and that's what this event is all about. We're partnering with schools, businesses, and local officials to empower our students and their families because we love our city.
Gates open at 9:30am. Check in and registration is required.

The Destiny Community Center is a Sacramento-based non-profit that provides resources for families and individuals in the region. Since inception, they have given 29,000 bikes, 60,000 pounds of food, 15,000 backpacks, and millions of dollars in free classes, workshops, and community programs.
