The Destiny Community Center and Destiny Christian Church are hosting their 7th annual "Love Our City Christmas" event, where hundreds of families will come for a day of Christmas festivities and leave with a free bike for Christmas.

Destiny launches special needs program

In January of 2019, the Destiny Community Center launched a new Special Needs Initiative, aimed at supporting the disabled community and their families. The Destiny mantra "Love Our City" means every family, every individual, and every child. These kids inspire a very innocent, very special kind of love, a love that we should look to for inspiration.

Destiny launches new program to change the culture of local foster care

Destiny Community Center's new foster care program, launched January 2019 in Rocklin, is quickly gaining momentum. Destiny poses a solution to a long-standing county-wide problem. Piloting a new model of care that incorporates trained resource homes in geographical regions (they call them "hub homes") provides connection, resource and support for foster children, foster parents AND biological family throughout Placer County.

ABOUT LOVE OUR CITY

The Destiny Community Center is a Sacramento-based non-profit that provides resources for families and individuals in the region. Since inception, they have given 29,000 bikes, 60,000 pounds of food, 15,000 backpacks, and millions of dollars in free classes, workshops, and community programs.
